Epilogue

Epilogue

Nora: (Nora enters an empty building with only a small carpet and sofa, she sits down covering her eyes with her hands and begins too cry) "Oh papa, I wish you were here, I miss you so..."

Helmer: (Helmer walks in the door as Nora is sobbing on the sofa, and he kneels down beside her) " Nora... are you okay?"

Nora: (moving to the other side of the sofa in a panic) "What are you doing here! Go away, I wish to not see you here."

Helmer: (Stands up, looking down at Nora and holding his hand out) "I had come to ask for you too back, Its been months and I've changed."

Nora: (looking at Helmer with disgust and shoving his hand away) "No, go away I don't care for you anymore. I want to make a new life for myself and forget about you."

Helmer: (Taking a step closer and holding his hand out again, speaking in a soft tone) "Please Nora, just one more try and we can fix everything. Make a life together, this is the miracle you talked about and I'm presenting it to you right now.

Nora: (Studying Helmer's body, taking a breath and standing up on her own) "I still have some of my own business to take care of, possibly afterwards."

Helmer: " I feel as if you don't come with me no, it won't be the same Nora. Please, do come with me with me back home."

Nora: ( Playing with her fingers and looking away) " I'm not so sure this is a good idea."

Helmer: (standing up straight and looking down then up Nora) "Nora, I took into consideration to what you said last year. I have changed, and for you. Please, I've done all that meets the requirements of the miracle."

Nora: (Takes a step closer to Helmer) " Have you really Helmer, truly and honestly?"

Helmer: (Takes a step closer as well) " Yes Nora I have, I can swear on it. I just need your consent back."

Nora: "If I come back, you must not treat me completely like a child anymore I want to be a respectable woman."

Helmer: (Taking off his domino and scratching his head) "Fair enough, anything for you. This time I mean it Nora, anything for you."

Nora: (Cracks a smile and runs up to Helmer giving him a hug) "Oh Helmer I've missed you, come on let's go back home. I want to see the children! "

(Helmer take Nora's arm and walks out the old house they were in and they left back to their home.)

Act two

All of Act two was a very shocking and interesting act for me. I was expecting for Nora to get Krogstad his money through someone borrowing, however I was pretty shocked that she was flirting Dr. Rank. I kind of felt synpathy for Dr. Rank because he had poured out his heart to Nora after she lead him on, and she shattered his heart. I was not very surprised that Mrs. Linde was willing to help Nora's predicament, however I was shocked that her and Krogstad had a relationship at one point. Mrs. Linde had left Krogstad for another man that she thought had a lot of money.    At first I thought she was a gold digger, but I had remembered that she had to do it so she can support her family. It was astonishing that Mrs. Linde was going to let Helmer look at the letter. She seemed unperturbed about the situation. I have no idea what she could be doing, but she is going to ruin Nora's life somehow. "Because you do as your husband wishes ? Well, well you little rouge, I am sure you did not mean it in that way" (Ibsen). Speaking of Nora, I was pretty shocked that she even considered suicide. She stalled Helmer for a while, however she was being a hypocrite. Nora was still showing signs of acting like a child. "But Nora darling, you're dancing as if your life depended on it." (Ibsen 204). Since now that is her plan to possibly kill herself, I can't wait to see if it happens or not. Act 3 should be exciting, but I do not believe she will kill herself. She might just run off with Dr Rank, but we shall see.

(For some reason it did not post and went into a raft instead, sorry.)

Act 1

The beginning of act 1 started off very interesting. Nora, the wife seems to be able to casually lie to her husband and squandering the money he earns on whatever she pleases. By now Helmer, the husband frivolously knows that she likes spending his money  "Has my little feather brain been out wasting money again?". I think it's quite funny how she even makes fun of herself "Ah, if only you knew what expenses we skylarks and squirrls have, Torvald.".  On top of that she seems to be very conceded and likes making things dramatic and about herself for instance, Mrs. Linde talked about her hard life then Nora spoke about her amazing last few years were.  Then Nora's very old friend Mrs. Linde had came over for a visit, but seeing that they had not spoken in years I felt like something was suspicious with Mrs. Linde. As I kept reading it turned out Mrs. Linde did have a reason for coming, she wanted Helmer to give her a job at the bank because of his advancement at the bank.
The last part of act one is when I found things getting exciting and surprising. Nora had saved Helmer's life by getting them on a vacation to Italy. Nora had also lied to Helmer about how she received the money, and she had actually borrowed the money and forged Helmer's signature from a man named Krogstad. Then Krogstad had come to Nora privately after speaking to Helmer about his job's jeopardy that he was going to give to Mrs. Linde, blackmailed Nora to convincing Helmer to keep Krogstad's position at the bank or he would inform Helmer of Nora's little secret. Now I'm waiting to see how see will get herself out of this big mess she made for herself.

Hello, my name is Dylan. I'm 15 years old but in about a month I'll be 16 finally ! I have a pretty creative mind, which explains why I'm always day dreaming. I play baseball, soccer, and I also long board all around town, feeling the wind blowing against me as I ride down huge hills. For instances, the hill from Montclair to Bloomfield on Bloomfield ave, bomb that hill every weekend during the summer. Anyway one of my favorite things that we have done in class was read "The old man with enormous wings". I found the story very interesting, a bit sad, but in the end there was a good ending to the tale.
Henrik Ibsen was a Norwegian play writer and poet, considered the father of modern theatre. being second place from Shakespeare he was considered the seconded most influential and insightful dramatist and poet. Henrik Ibsen was born on March 20th 1828 in Skien Norway and was the oldest of his 5 other siblings. His father was a well merchant, but his mother came from a family of the richest merchants in Skien. When Henrik was 8 his father went bankrupt and had become an alcoholic which took a toll on the rest of Henrik's childhood and life.
